After a year of planning, my Trixie figure is finally being posted to customers today! Im really happy, as ive wanted to have my own figure for sale for a long time.
She costs £90, with postage being either £5 or £10 depending on wether you live in the UK or elsewhere. A limited run of just 48 are available. I have signed the bases of each figure, and have also signed 2 prints which are included in the box.

Lots of people who like my work have been trying to add me as a friend on Facebook. I tend to keep work related things to a minimum on there, and the stuff I post on there is pretty personal I guess, so I set up a Facebook page just for my work stuff.

Ive been living in London since March now. The move was initially temporary due to a long job I had with a regular client (Nexus productions), but London life may end up to be permanent, or at least a longer prospect as im enjoying it here.

Recently finished work on a 2 month project for Nexus, and im currently working for another short job for them. I have a new character / piece of personal work on the way and ill finish it once i get some free time!

Started learning the basics of Zbrush and Vray - hopefully ill be able to get to grips with them and experiment once i have more time.

My image 'hoteru no aoi' will be appearing in the new Expose book, as well as a tutorial/ walkthrough in the upcoming Digital arts masters 5 book.

Im contemplating getting some poster sized prints made of Trixie made for sale, as i rendered her out at monster resolution for this purpose. I'd also like to get a 3d model (rapid prototype) of one of my characters, just to see what it would look like. Ill let you know if anything comes of this.

Hi Folks, its been a while.

I went travelling around Japan with a friend for a month in October. Went to Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Fukuoka, with a few excursions here and there. Had a brilliant time.

I spent much of December working on a character for a cool, high profile project for London-based Superfad. Had a nice christmas and new year break, then went straight back to work on January the 2nd with a new job!

I spent all of January in Valencia, Spain modelling some characters for Pasozebra productions. I was put up in a great apartment only 5 minutes away from where i worked, and very close to the sights and shops. Was a great change of scenery, and a nice escape from the cold, snowy UK! Pasozebra were great - they were some of the best clients ive worked with.

Back home now and catching up with everything. Ill be back down London working at Nexus productions again very soon - will be on a 2 month long job this time. Better make the most of this free time period!

Not really had much free time for personal work, though i have some ideas buzzing around in my head. I did the 'Hoteru no aoi' image in September (seems like ages ago now!), and it will be in the upcoming 'Digital arts masters 5' book as a tutorial/ walkthrough. I also have a few other books that my work will be in, including a pinup art book, which i'm very much looking forward to.

Hey folks

Ive just finished modeling 4 main characters and some background characters for a commercial for Nexus productions down in London. I spent nearly 5 weeks living in a flat very close to the famous tower bridge and really enjoyed my time down there. It was a nice change of scenery, and it was good to work at such a great studio and meet so many talented artists and directors. Hopefully, ill be back there for some more work in the future.
Ill post some of the work i did once i get permission.

Back to normality now. Im currently working on a few small freelance jobs, and hoping to make a start on some new personal work, and perhaps try out some Zbrush sculpting.

Finally, 2 Pieces of mine (Suzie kickin' back and Thom Yorke) are in the new Ballistic publishing Expose7 book on page 38 and 39. I will also have a tutorial of Thom Yorke in the soon to be relased Digital arts Masters 4 book from 3dTotal.

Hi folks - thought i might as well get some use out of this blog function...

Ive been pretty busy with 3 freelance projects since i came back from my month in China in October (which was awesome).
One of the projects i am able to mention (as it broadcasted during the superbowl) is this advert for Coca Cola i worked on. I modeled and textured 5 characters. Seeing as there are so many in the advert, some of them are real 'blink and you'll miss it' moments. I really enjoyed working on this as it was the most high profile job i have worked on. More of that kind of thing, please! The folks at Nexus productions did a brilliant job, and they were great to work with.

Next up, is an interview i have had published in 3DTotal's 3Dcreative magazine this month. I made the front cover and have a big 11 page interview which you can read here:

Finally, im going to Austria (Mayrhofen, in fact) on a week-long skiing holiday next week (14th March), and im really looking forward to taking in the mountain scenery and having fun zooming down the slopes!
